    Default Oncidium 'Sharry Baby'

I hope I have the name correctly spelled, etc. Please correct me if wrong, so I can correct my records. I have seen the name written several ways.

This crazy plant is about 2' tall and the spike, if held up straight is 57" tall! I counted at least 120 buds before it bloomed, so it's really hard to get any sort of picture of it, but it's so pretty.

I've a a picture of it in spike and a couple in bloom.

    Very nice! I am jealous!

Mine is about the same size, grew 2 new pb's this season, but no spikes yet. I have not seen flowers on this orchid yet!

And yes, I think that is the correct spelling.

It's an amazing plant, but I don't so much feel I can take any credit for it - it was a big happy plant when I bought it for $7 at a nursery last spring (the blooms were nearly done, it was obviously a section of a much larger plant and had roots for 2 or 3 plants!). I've just kept it going as it was and am very much enjoying it. When I brought it home, it had that wonderful smell, I'm not so much smelling it now - does it need more light? heat? My sense of smell isn't great though, so that's not why I grow orchids. The flowers just started opening two/three days ago.

That is beautiful. I bought one about a month ago - blooming size it said. LOL, the whole thing is maybe 6" tall. But it is a healthy little thing.

I can't wait for mine to bloom and be as beautiful as yours!
