The larger MGH had a temperature of 84 F when I got home today. I'll be up sizing the lights in it as soon as the fixture arrives. That will probably raise the temps some more.

I had purchased and have been using a couple of these mini-greenhouses (MGH) but without the skins for over a year.
Yesterday, I decided to try the covers and see if they can work for me in raising humidity in them and not roast the orchid residents with too much heat.
This morning, the totally clear MGH, had humidity reading of 45%. Which is much better, although higher would be nice, than the 10% the environment had been reading. At the bottom, I have some bowls with sphag moss that I wet to help raise humidity in there as well.
Now I am looking to load them up pretty tightly with plants hoping I can stretch the time between watering by a couple of days.

Neat! Hope you can maintain that 84 + humidity.
Looking good there Harvey-Hope does the job for you-Better still, send me your orchids, i'll look after them for you-lol-most times here we have high humidity and always hot too very hot.
Wow, so this MGH is a kit? Wonder if there are plastic covers that can be bought in different dimensions. I would be interested in enclosing my artificial light set up. Wonder though how the temperature inside does not get too high.
Speaking of mini greenhouse... can anyone suggest a good thermometer, humidity, luminosity indicator (device) for small or mini greenhouse?
I have not seen one that includes light readings too. I'd be interested if such a device exists.
And yes Monica, the mini greenhouses ($30- $75) come in pieces and they mix and match parts if you want to combine kits and customize the greenhouse frame to fit your needs.
I'm not sure it's okay to ask but where do you get it from? Looked online and couldn't find it.
