This one was so beautiful I bought two. One has a single bloom with three small buds and the other has two large buds and a sheath beginning to fill. I should have flowers on these for a month or two. And the color...just gorgeous.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-once again Connie shows her stunning orchids-gees she has far too many of them--Very nice Catt and i love the color too Connie.
WOW ..... stunning!
The seams of the greenhouse are bulging...I know. But these were too beautiful to not bring home, sooooo, lol it got a little more crowded. My mom is in town and she wanted to buy my birthday orchid. She wasn't able to be here when my birthday actually is, but we don't little things like that get in the way of a shopping trip to buy orchids.
Wow. Looks Great and an excellent birthday gift from your mom.
Prominent colors! Great!
Very pretty! Good colour!
Very nice, Connie! But a Q ....
On my screen, the predominant color of the petals and sepals is basically magenta. I have seen photos of this hybrid before wherein the predominant color was instead a rich blood red. Knowing all to well how difficult it often is to accurately capture the true color of reds and purples when using a digital camera, I was wondering what the actual color of yours is?
How tall a plant is it too, btw?
I bought two plants and both are between 16 and 18 inches tall...with the pot. As for the color: To the naked eye it is a magenta, but when hit with the sun you get a variety of colors from deep maroon to a vibrant neon pink. The yellow in the throat is very rich, almost orange, or gold depending on the light source. When the second plant blooms I will post it. Hopefully I will be able to get an accurate picture for you on the color.
