Cattleya - will it bloom?

This Cattleya produced the new leaves at the top over a month ago. However, I don't see a bud ready to emerge. Is it likely to bloom or has something gone awry? Thanks!

Well, depending on the type it does look like it is trying to bloom. Many of the bifoliate types crossed with epidendrums with many small blooms look like when they are ready to crank out some flowers.

I'm wondering if this is a long process or if something condition issue can stop an orchid from blooming at this stage?
