Hello everyone
The cymb I am going to show you has quite a story. Last summer I noticed in one flower shop a Cymb with spots all over the flower. It was in bad shape, bought by mistake by the flower vendor, who buy the flowers in bulk. This one had outgrown the original pot, was severely dried out and the 7 spikes it had were already wilting. I suggested the vendor to make me a discount since the plant was obviously in bad shape. Well, he wouldn't reduce the price and I didn't want t pay a full price for a sickly plant. After a month I checked in with the florist again. My prediction was correct, the cymb lost all the flowers and was moved in the back of the shop. So The vendor sold it to me for 25% of the original price. I repoted and divided the plant, and to my amazement one division made 3 spikes with about 45 flowers on it, an the smaller division 1 small spike with 5 flowers.
The first spike on the bigger division is in full bloom now. Here are the pics.

Great rescue!
That is a gorgeous Cymbidium!!!
i like the blush of green coming through the spots, that's a nice one! good job on saving it.

Thank you for the praise The color is actually more greenish in natural light but it looks more pinkish under the blitz light.
