We have our Dendrobium jenkensii attached to a tree fern/twig combo and it had flowered successfully several times. But when we got this plant, there was another orchid attached to the tree fern/twig combo. It never flowered and we thought it was purely vegetative, until this year. Arne, my husband hangs this tree fern/twig in our study window and we figured due to the extreme cold winter we have been having this year, the cold induced the orchid to flower.
I find the tiny flowers very fascinating as they are small, maximum 1/4 of an inch across. The color is light green. Would anyone out there know or guess what this orchid is? Arne thought it might be a Pleurothallis. The flowers up close are so delicate looking.
I look forward to hear what you all have to say. Thanks.

This might be Stelis quadrifida. That's pretty similar anyway. Like many of the Pleurothallids it has been bounced around between several genera, including Pleurothallis, Specklinia and Loddigesia just in the last 12 years or so. You might find it under any of those as well as Stelis.
Similar to: Pleurothallis ghiesbreghtiana, and Pleurothallis grobyi (but leaves look different).
Pleurothallis ghiesbreghtiana is a synonym for the accepted name Stelis quadrifida.
Wow, thanks for the information. Something new to learn. I really like this orchid. Maybe we should try to separate it and let it really flourish.

My Pleurothallis grobyi looks nothing like any of those shown.
What do you think it is? What is it that is different? Still an enigma...

My Pleurothallis grobyi has no pbs. Is small with leaves about 1/2 inch long. And spotted on the back side, reddish.
Yes, it doesn't look like Pleurothallis grobyi. But you have 2 suggestions for Pleurothallis ghiesbreghtiana/Stelis quadrifida. Obviously you haven't really compared to that species or it wouldn't still be an enigma.
