Good growing! I really like the color combination , very pretty . Gin
Very striking, Wolf! I like it. I beleive I recently read that some catts do that when they bloom. The sheath turns brown before the buds push out.
Julie
This one's been through a great deal too. one of the one's I inherited from the former roomate. Haddn't bloomed in two years maybe it likes less humidity since it bloomed here in vegas. It actually seems to be turning a bit peachy today. Wonder if it's one that changes as the flower matures... Hmmm.
Very nice color combination!!! Definitely, a keeper!
Cheers. Hoa.
Very Nice! Julie is right about some orchids blooming from dried sheaths... that's why you shoudn't cut off a sheath that looks dry until you are sure it wont bloom. As for color change, I have many that darken or brighten or shade from purple to red or yellow to peach. So that may indeed happen with yours.
Hi Wolf,
I just looked your guy up. Its registered title is: Lc. Straight Answer 'No Question' and it was awarded an AM in 1999. So it becomes:
Lc. Straight Answer 'No Question' AM/AOS. That's if you care...pretty flower, regardless!
Julie
Wow!!! That is very good. So this catt is a prize winner. However, I am not so surprised. The blooms look beautiful, besides, purple splash on yellow is hard to come by.
Cheers. Hoa.
You are indeed correct in that the name is LC Straight Answer 'No Question' AM/AOS. I did try to capture the peachy look it is getting which is interesting. I love how it changes all most every day.
