This orchid was found at a cut downed tree on 18 March 2006, when I went to orchid searching in a small jungle between Batu Kawa and Bau area in Kuching, Borneo Island. The leaves of this orchid is about 2 cm and it is starting to flower. It has yellow flowers. It looks like Phaleonopsis, but it is too small for that size. Please help to identify. Today, I have taken some of the pictures again. I planted it at my Bonsai tree. The flower bud is still not opened yet, though it has been 11 days. I uploaded to a webpage. Please take a look. Thanks

You may consider looking for a copy of Orchids of Borneo.
It's not easy to give an ID because your flower is not yet open but when I looked at the 3rd vol by Chan, there's one that may be of match to your species.

Gosh! That is the tiniest sweetest orchid I have seen!!!! I will love to see pictures of it updated! I hope it grows well for you. It's amazing!
Hi,
I think the plant has been identified as Pteroceras emarginatum, or, according to KEW database, Ascochilus emarginatus. Actually, currently on top of my wish list
Cheers Hellmuth
