Sheryl, I would not want any sphagnum in my vanda's, besides you would need to replace it here in Florida every year as it breaks down with our heat and humidity!

I hope I'm posting this in the right area - I purchased this Ren. Kalsom Philippinensis last week and am not sure about the way it is potted. I truly do not want to question it because I have purchased numerous orchids over the past five years from this vendor and they have always been great orchids that have grown and bloomed nicely for me. My question is should it be potted in all this moss? All of my other vandas, aerides, pretty much are in no media. Will this moss hold too much water and possibly rot the roots? I've never purchased on orchid from them potted this way. Thanks for your input.

Concur with Jack. Renanthera like to dry out completely before watering them. I opine moss is not a good idea
Thank you both. I'm just really curious why she would have potted them this way. Like I said, I've bought like species orchids from them in the past and they were not in moss. Thanks again, gentlemen!
