Hi! I've forgot to ask about this orchid. I think it's an Epidendrum. I took the cutting from my grandma's orchid about 3 months ago, but she doesn't know which type of orchid is and I think the orchid was not being cared because the leaves were all yellow and it had a lot of pests. It looks much better now and it's starting to send new roots. The orchid where I took the cutting was like 6 foot tall and from what I can remember I never saw it in bloom. I put it on clay pellets since it was growing as an epiphyte. It only has grew a couple of leaves since the time I have it and now it's developing more roots. Any advice for a better caring?

Looks to me most like Rhynchorides or something else in the Vanda alliance.
Those fat roots does not look like Epidendrum. Looks to me like Arachnis sp or a hybrid.
I vote on the vandaceous side, as well.
Possibly a renanthera. They flower from nodes about three pairs of leaves below the top of the p[lant -so there need to be enough older leaves below that point efore you get a spike. Maybe not quite big enough yet.
They like lots of light. Most have blood red flowers.
But plants looking like this are very common in the orchid world ! I could name a dozen....
Looking some pictures in the Internet this orchid really looks like an Arachnis or Renanthera. As I said, my grandma had this orchid for years but I never had seen it blooming even when the plant was that big. I'm watering it daily on the roots and using a balanced fertilizer (20-20-20) once a week per instructions of the fertilizer. Don't know if I'm doing wrong.
Judging from the root system, I would rule out Epidendrum at least compared to mine.
IMO an Arachnis or Renanthera or a hybrid of the two.
