    Default My puppy

Not sure if the is the place to post this:

My chihuahua died the day before Easter last year. Then we had another loss the day before Father's day. Times were rough emotionally. My wife had a co-worker that had a dog that gave birth to a litter of 6 pups born 5 July. There were 4 males, and 2 females. The males had very short fur, and the two females had longer and lighter color fur to the point that they didn't look like they came from the same litter. My wife knew I wanted a female, and took the smallest pup from the batch. In the photo she looks so cute and cuddly, but if you look at the eyes - those are rascal eyes. She has very sharp teeth. The vet explained to us that if you remove a pup from the litter, they will find a substitute for their litter mates. That is the person that they play more roughly with - she only bites me, so I guess I must be it. Here is Chloe from when she was 5 weeks old.

Thanks! I'll find a recent photo when I get home from work. She actually looks like a coyote, but shrunk down to about the size of a fox. She's 13 months old now, and should be fully grown. Weighs only about 8 lb, very slim, and very fast. She still bites me, but not real hard. Her favorite thing is to pull my socks off when I get home from work (I'm not sweaty, but... ewwww), and she uses her teeth, but is careful not to bite hard to get a grip - that way I know her biting habit is just being playful.

My daughter also has a maie dog about 1 year older, and the mother of that pooch is believed to be the mother of mine. One of my wife's co-workers originally had the mother dog, and later gave it it another co-worker, and at that time she had another litter of pups. They are pretty close in size / color / build. The only real difference is he's fuzzy around the legs where Chloe is not. When they play together, since they are pretty closely matched, neither is the dominant one - they take turns chasing each other.
