Nice bloom considering the size of the orchid.
I find they are fragrant in the mid to late afternoon. Check it out.

Here is a mounted, single fan V. falcata I just purchased earlier this month. It arrived with a bloom stem started on the single growth, so I just left it mounted. It will go in a net pot when the blooms fade.

I would leave it just the way it is mounted, it seems to like it that way as it gave you a spike and blooms. Putting those roots into the net basket will probably cause more damage to the roots then they like.
Cool1 I've just mounted one on a piece of river limestone. Hope it works
Thanks for all the comments. I will check out what fragrance this has this afternoon. Under my conditions, in the house under fluorescent light, the Vanda falcata blooms last longer on those that I have potted in a net pot with N.Z. moss. The mounted orchids dry out too quickly. I will be careful in the potting of the roots.
