Tis is a hybrid in the Stanhopea/Zygopetallum group. One parent is Acacallis cyanea, the other is supposed to be Zygopetallum Helen Ku. Flowers maybe 2 to 2 ½ inches north-south.
The Acacallis is a known species - with blue flowers of course. The Zygo is not a registered cross, so I can't find the parents.
I also can't find what an Acacallis x Zygo would be called !
I have seen these plants on offer occasionally by ( I seem to remember) a German trader, at various European shows I have attended, and obviously I bought a piece. It disappeared into my collection ( I have maybe somewhere between 500 and a thousand plants on the S/HG bench - so small plants in 3 inch pots do disappear until they make themselves felt by flowering and delighting/disappointing me ).
I would like to give it a better name tag, but what to do. Any ideas ?

That would be a nice surprise popping up between larger plants!
Great coloring!
Very nice cross.
Odd looking flowers but cool!
