Truly a beautiful orchid that I must get for myself!
Great shots of a very lovely dedrobe.
I am very glad that I saw a post of this Dendrobium not to long ago by Sriram, I just had to get one and it bloomed soon after I received it and is still blooming 2 months later. Beautifully grown Elio, I just might have to mount mine next year!
I am dipping my toes into the mounting method. How long has your plant been mounted and what technique did you use? If you dont mind telling!!
Beautiful! Every orchid collector should have one of these!
The mounting king is at it again. Beaudiful ...!!!
Unfortunately with the high winds that we get here, I decided that mounting on cork bark and hanging it is NOT an option.
My back porch once had slats to separate the porch from the sidewalk, and both slats (4' x 8') blew off during a 45 mph winds we had about 8 years back. I can just picture all my mounted orchids in the next doors back yard in pieces. LOL!
I do not mind at all, this hybrid I put it in the raft for four years, flourishes in an incredible way, for several months, a little break and again in bloom.
As a technique to mount was developed by me, by bonsai instructor, I applied the same technique, with some variations, to the orchids.
This technique allows a fast and perfect anchorage to cork, speeding up the perfect anchoring of the roots.
If you are interested I could write an article describing it, you do not have no need to do is ask and with pleasure will write.
