Dendrobium lindleyi aka aggregatum

This is one of my new plants. I all ready have a beautiful little lindleyi but it was such a bargain that it just made sense. Plus, it was wild collected and has pb's that are almost twice the size of my old one even in their dehydrated state. You can see in the 1st shot that it only produced one new pb this year. The second shot shows how long it has been on the hardwood mount. As it reached the edge the previous grower would just turn it and the back became the front. I think it has made 2 1/2 trips around over the years. My plan is to clean off all the old roots and dead pb's, cut the mount in half and just leave it on. I'll also soak in Kelpmax over night. Any other thoughts?

PS I don't think I need to leave the twist ties.

Looks healthy to me. I would not cut the dead pseudobulbs for now. Just soak them in kelpmax overnight and may be add a little moss over the mount. Moss might not be required if there is sufficient (>50%) relative humidity in your grow area. Give it a lot of light and they love it. Mine grows in almost full sun.

To me if you want to remove the old Pb also ok if not also ok but it looks so messy, if you want to remove be careful the live root avoid the damage they will be space for the new roots to move.

Well, it took more than 4 years, it's out of season & not very full but finally managed to coax a spike out of this plant

Good job. My D. lindleyi blooms in December every other year nowadays. If fall is relatively mild without early frost nights I can have it outside almost till December. Finally, when I take it in I guess it thinks it is spring.

That happens a lot with mine Arne (: They spend the summer outdoors but by the end of September, we're already seeing nights in the mid 40's. Spring comes when they go back into the greenhouse lol
