    It is alway such a treat to see orchids in the wild, even if placed there.

    I remember a business trip to Recife Brazil in which I saw tons of them in trees, and even high up on telephone poles! I was SO tempted to do some climbing, but I was in a suit and tie, after all....

    Agree with Zainal. Most of these are common lowland 'weeds' on roadside trees; cymbidium finlaysonianum, dendrobium crumenatum, bulbophyllum vaginatum. The rain tree (Enterolobium samans) and angsana (Pterocarpus indicus) are among some trees that host a large variety of epiphytes on their branches, including epiphytic ferns like the rabbit's foot (Davallia).
