i WAS an AOS member for years, starting in highschool... i agree, Orchid digest is worth it alone... it was real helpful in keeping track of local shows, when 'local' shows could be a couple hundred miles away! i count my blessings everyday that i live in orchid paradise now and that the greatest "show" (the flower market) ive ever seen is every weekend and a 15 minute walk from my door!!!

I've belonged several time over the years. It is not anything that I care to do any longer. It honestly offers me nothing and I think the price of a membership is ridiculous.

Its 116 dollars to join here in Germany, so, hmm, no. Of course I could spend 40 on membership and get all the magazines digitally, but I can already get more orchid info online than I will ever be able to use in a lifetime for free.
