    Default Almost Ready to fly!

Just a few more days.... My ever-hardy Onc. Kahili 'Big'

You can see where I snapped the top off of the spike about 5 months ago... But the plant just restarted the spike from the node below. A new spike about 8" long has also started...

    Default She's ready to go!

This is Psychopsis Kahili 'Big', the plant formerly known as Onc. Kahili 'Big'. This is a much better bloom this time - I guess the enforced rest from my breaking off the last bud helped!

Her figure is - wingtip to wingtip 4.5"
top of the middle antenna to the bottom of the lip 7.5 "

Also included is a shot of the whole plant. You don't need much square space, but you do need a lot of air space to grow these...

PS - the first of my 5 new psychopsis plants has arrived. Yes, 5, all different - including one alba and one aurea.... I kinda like these...

Whoa...she's a gorgeous alien! Five??? I'd need a bigger place! I already need a bigger place. I can only love these critters from afar!

Nice one, Diane! Glad it didn't hold any grudges!
