Excellent! Another I can't get to flower! I think I just can't provide the light it needs at this time of year.

Growing outside , I see. I have seen them forming big clumps on trees in gardens I have visited in various places around the Spanish Main, but of course here in UK we have to grow them in pots, and they are only a pale shadow of what I can see here. Such a lovely thing - I don't know whether you actually have to grow it, when you nail it on a tree ? Or just leave it to itself ? Whatever you do, it is a plant to proud of. I love it.

Beautiful! Mine is spiking now. Do you grow yours in any media or just bare root?

Chris where do you grow it? Mine is pretty much in full shade but of course I am in the south so the light even in full shade is likely higher than your light level.

It goes outside for the summer in sun except for a few hours mid day. Then in the fall I have to bring it in. I think that is where the problem lays.

Thanks to all of you and your kind comments. I actually have it in a basket bareroot. It's just totally outgrown it and I've decided to keep it that way for the time being. It grows in filtered sunlight early part of the day and then it's shaded in the afternoon. I do water it most days because of it being bareroot. With the weather beginning to cool down I'll probably reduce that to 3 times a week.

Very Nice Sheryl. I understand that bare root is the best method to grow these.
