    Default Blc. Copper Queen.

I bought it three months ago.
The bulb that is blooming was already half grown,
The flower, appears to me like something out of Jurassic Park
and I am very happy with it.
    Ciao Nicola

Orchids probably didn't evolve until at least 90 million years after the Jurassic period, and orchids like this (the distinctive Richard Mueller clade) didn't appear until the 1960s, and that makes it much more exciting than some tired old DNA resurrected in a secret lab in the jungle. This couldn't exist until humans brought together orchids from all over the American tropics, and someone was brilliant (or lucky) enough to make that first nodosa x milleri cross. The generations of color-morphing patterned-lip orchids that followed were like nothing seen before, and possibly one of our species' greatest achievements. Jurassic Park? No, much better.

    Nice one!

    Nice one!

    thank you

I agree with you, and I believe that in the future we will be able to produce 'designer' orchids, where color shapes and aromas will be genetically programmed.

    thank you all

    thank you all .

I still love the natural species, even though I can appreciate these man-made marvels.
