Man, that is sweet!! Wish I could do that! Of course, my walls would have to go into the ground and be doubled. There'd also have to be a big ol' heater in there, exhaust fans and roof vents. Do you have orchids outside as well Roy?

New extension & benches finished today. Just need to install the lining insulation & fix up the floor. Add plants & all done.
Reason for wide space at end is so the above area will be all hanging plants. I'll be able to get in there to move things around without stretching. I can add an extra bench if & when required.

Looking into old area. Renovations to be done here one day. Mainly old Polycarb sheets on walls.

Wow Roy! Great project and job you've done there! Looking forward to the post of all the orchids that will occupy it!
No Orchids out side these days Chris. Everything in old area but being spread into new. Even though it got down to -5c in this new area last week, it wasn't set up. I may have to use additional heating in here depending on weather.
Roy, what a really sharp looking greenhouse you have !

Looking good Roy, I am sure it will be full in the near future!
I reckon when I spread out the disaster in the old section it will be Jack.. or near enough...
Congratulations, looks a great job.
Now I dare not even contemplate anything similar - my wife has been threatening me these last 40 years - " not another greenhouse, she says...." and in fact I have cut down drom the 5 different greenhouses in one garden when I first retired 20 years ago, to just one today, although it is true that the " just one" is the biggest I have ever had in my , now, 56 years of orchid growing.
I'm at 50+ years of involvement in orchids & had various Orchid Houses. I have so many Catt crosses at the Lab' & many hanging atm, fair chance more spare will be required.....
That's if the peanut brains here get it thru their heads we can't do without base load electricity. The size of Australia cannot run on renewables. It may be ok for some but definitely not all. The price electricity now is leaving some of out aged pensioners not having heating, now in Winter, cos they can't afford it. Priorities wrong big time.
Sorry, off soap box now.
Looks a very large orchid house, but then again that provides extra space to enjoy the plants.
