    This is one of my favourite cattleya, my first one got a virus so had to distroy it, now have managed to get a new one, are the flowers fragrant.

    they have a mild detergent type fragrance, not too strong in the morning mostly. I am hoping it grows stronger along with the plant!

    Personaly speaking, detergent is not my favourite smell. So if it were mine , I might hope that it would grow fainter !
    But maybe some other bits of the dna will kick in and change it.

    I don’t know which one you have but the Angle heart ‘ hihimanu’ has a terrific fragrance. Still the flower is great.
