Smile Phal - what is this??

I bought this Phal about one year ago, it was already a mature plant, the flowers were already dry, now i see they are white but with any genetic problem, always wrinkly and not opening properly!

I thought i was going to get the second flower spike, but it started to get 2 little leaves (and it comes from the axil!!!). Keikis don't come from the axils, do they??

    Thanks!
    Diogo

    Hi!

What you have there is a basal Keiki. No worries. Wait for the roots to grow a few inches long, seperate it from the mother plant, and you will have two phals.

    Cheers!

Hmmm, looks like a big problem. You better wait and see till roots grow, pack it up and send it to me for further study.

Oh now, no need to be mad. I was just kidding, thats what I ment by J/K. and then I wrote in my words of support by saying "Wow, thats pretty cool. Good luck with it."
I thought you had gotten a good response already from Brutal Dreamer, so I just wanted to give some people a smile. Guess everyone took it too seriously.
Here I was thinking Julie got the joke and was just joking back.
    Oh well,
    Sorry for that upset.

    lol, I got the joke...

I do think that sometimes the internet language translation tools aren't very good. But, we have to make the most of them or else learn the different languages around the world. And I am too lazy to learn all the languages in the world. I do know that everyone here has a good heart and this is why I like this place so much.

Diogo, good luck with the baby plant that you will soon have when this keiki sends new roots.

    Yes Diogo, good luck.
Are you planning on potting it on its own, or maybe, mounting it????
Is that a good thing to do? Mount keikies???
