Hello,
I'm new here and English is not my mother tongue...
I was at Borneo and took some photos of plants.
I always like to know which plant it is,
so perhaps you could help me...
thanks,
Kerstin
Do you have some photos?
oh, sorry, I thought, I managed it yesterday...
2nd try:
1st one looks like some kind of Arum. Second one is an orchid
...for your help - I didn't think about Araceae, but now I could check the pics of google - I decided its an Arisaema filiforme ;-)
and the other? orchid is not enough for me - I thought about Vanilla?!
the next one? I'm sure its not an orchid, but perhaps anybody can tell me soething about it, family...
Are these wildflowers? Vanilla is a rather large vine. That last one is strange. Looks more like some kind of fungal growth or gall than it does a flower. I see growhts very similar to this but brown/grey on fruit tree branches here. Can't remember what they are called.
The last one might be a ginger.
I concur with Yug it's ginger flower. by the way welcome to OTF.
...for your welcome ;-)
I thought this one is a ginger flower:
and this one, too:
and all of them grow in nature, beneath the ground, not bound on a tree like normal vanilla.
It was a park at Borneo, but they brought the plants together for better seeing
here is an orchid, which didn't get the right name yet - could it be a Malleola? but which one?
