I was fortunate to have my first bloom on this romyi this year in January, then another month and I get a double bloom. Now this is what I have going on with this one, I had hopped that an earlier bloom would last till these 6 blooms opened but that was not to be, but I did get another double bloom. I will be taking this off the mount and putting in a pot once it has finished blooming, it is growing all over the place.
Wow! great growing Jack!
wow...really nice
Why pot if it likes to be mounted?
Can't beat a plant that wants to keep flowering! I'd be tempted to just u-nail leads that are running off the mount back where I want them.
Amazing Jack but the plants looks dehydrated to me maybe need more water to him.
That was well spotted, Zain - I was bowled over by the flowers ( and the brilliant photography, too Jack ) and did not look properly at the leaves first time around. It is the problem with plaque mounting I find.
I saw an illustrated talk by a bulbo' enthusiast a year or so ago, after he had spent a couple of weeks jungle trekking looking at bulbo's especially. And he said they come from a very , very, wet place. Can't be true of them all, since there are so many, but maybe B.romyi comes from a wetter place than where it lives now. But still, it is flowering ! And you can't argue past that without making a fool of yourself, as I am doing now...
Thanks Sheryl!

Thanks Azhar, the reason why I like it so much is it blooms so much, can not ask for much more!

I have several reasons, first it is getting so gangling with it's growth and I don't really want to cut it any as I like large plants, the mount is too small and putting it on a larger mount is not something I want to do as it take up so much space when mounted, giving up room for more bulbos is hard to do and lastly for the same reason Zain mentioned that it looks dehydrated even with all the water it gets.

Very true Chris! The mount is getting too small and don't want it to take up more space.

Thanks Zain! It is for that reason that I want to put it in a pot with sphagnum which should give it more moisture, right now it gets watered several times a day and we have not hit our hot season yet which would mean more watering.

Thanks Geoff! I agree with Zain and you about it looking dehydrated, I am hoping that moving it to a pot with sphagnum will help.
I think I am not the only member of this group who thinks you every make a fool of yourself, I always look forward to you post and comments, I usually learn something new each time!
