    Unhappy Nothing in bloom for Orchid club meeting

    Local Orchid club meeting Sunday and nothing in bloom
    Well one bloom on a peasant orchid...
    I've got a pot with a mass of beautiful new roots

    Be glad you're not going to judging! Plants always drop blossoms one week before-, or open one week after...

    So true. This one just dropped its 15 flowers. Judging is on Saturday.

    There are two answers:
    1.The flowers had been open for three weeks, and that's about it. And yes, they could have been open for another week if it was more winter-like temperatures in our basement.
    2. They fell because I was planning to take the plant for judging.
