Robiquetia spathulata (Blume); Found in the eastern Himalayas, Bangladesh, Assam, Bhutan, Sikkim. I would agree with Sheryl would like to see again when those buds are open!
I think with this species, by the time the buds at the end of the spike open, those that have opened will be gone (normally half of the spike). The buds open with succession.
Cool. Never seen this species.
