This is the ordinary bog-standard kind ; plain white flowers, lovely perfume. I must have had it for 10 yerars now , maybe more. Came in a 6cm pot with 2 or three growths. Now in an 8 inch (20cm) basket, filled with sphagnum moss. Needs repotting every 2 years or so, which is quite a chore. Maybe I will havbe to split it up some time, but I'm hoping to get more spikes first. 16 this year ( I broke one off) . Best spike is 12 flowers, poorest perhaps 6, so maybe 150 flowers is just a guess. This is the first time it has been worth showing, this year, i.e. flowers opened today.
I give it a cold winter rest - no water of course, and put it in a cold-frame with a heater set to keep the temperature above 8˚C. for a couple of months.
