You can Mike but causes excessive shading on lower plants. Also dripping water from the top plants onto lower plants can cause rot. L x W is key, the height is great, no problem there.

LOL- I was thinking the same thing Roy.You realise this area is far too small Mike, extension will be required in near future.. Addiction hasn't kicked in at all yet..
Mike probably thinks he's got room for another 100 plants in there. Until they start growing........
Enjoy the addiction Mike!
Chris, the plan was to build it attached but the city had extra hoops for me to jump through to accomplish that. I ended up building it six feet away from my homes rear double doors so at some point I can build a covered "walkway" between the two. I'll take a pic from the house and post here.
I was going to attach mine but the city demands a 4" deep foundation. That alone was going to cost a little less than $30,000 so had to change the plan I've been working on for the last couple of years. Can you say piffed oss?

Addiction set in a while back, I actually had 75+ plants when the greenhouse went up, I'm over 100 at this point.
Soooo, I have room back in the house for at least 75 more plants
I know you guys are ribbing me, the pictures do make the greenhouse look a bit narrow but it is actually 12' X 18', not as large as I would have ideally wanted but then I'm not made of money either. I do need some cash left over to buy more orchids![]()
Whoa, that's a nice looking greenhouse, Mike! Well done! All your plants look comfortable in there
I've always wanted to have something like this (greenhouse attached to my own house)!
