V. tessellata X V.(syn. Aerides) flabellata
A few days left before it finally open. I put it at shadier place once it started to form buds to prevent bud blasting (lesson learnt from my V. Maili Tassels previously).
Looking forward to it!
Not fully open yet but I am surprised to see the petals are light brown with darker brown spots, not the same as when I first got it (fully dark brown). Or maybe the colour change with time. We will see.
I'm just too excited. More pictures to come. Looks like V. flabellata but not exactly. There is another variety looks exactly like V. flabellata, of course I won't choose it.
Looking good. Love the color of that lip.
By tomorrow afternoon the flower already matured and I'm sure looks amazing as a primary hybrid, looking forward Azizan
It smells similar to V. Maili Tassels in the morning.
For size comparison. Hope these two will be happy with my arranged marriage
Fantastic!. If the cross takes, we're just going to have to figure out how to get some seedlings to the US!
Looks nice. I like the shape too.
