Default I was out of room....

Well, I found a situation when over-potted orchids is a good thing! LOL I had three or four that I've had for years that were terribly over potted.

Before my huge re-potting marathon today, I was totally and completely OUT of room for any more orchids.

After my re-potting marathon I have LOTS of room because I fixed my poor over potted orchids and put them in correctly sized pots. Due to the reduced amount of space those correctly sized pots take up, I'd say I have room for more dendrobiums and catts! LOL

I took BD's advice and repotted everything I've gotten new in the past couple months to see how things are growing, etc. Was a very good thing I checked a few of the phals and my phrag. Both had decomposed potting material and should be much happier now!

Whew....that was a lot of work!

Feels good to get lots acomplished... especially when it comes to orchids. I can only dream. I check inside their leaves and all over everywhere looking for new things - good and bad LOL. Talk about watched pots never boiling... *sigh*
Yay for you - having lots that were overdue for repotting!!!

Isn't it just such a good feeling to be getting into all that mush and other stuff and replacing it with all sorts of goods stuff!

Getting that confidence to handle and repot orchids is definitely one of the big steps.

    Good growing!

Yes...a wonderful feeling to have everyone in good, fresh potting material. One of the phals that didn't need repotting yesterday rewarded me by opening up this afternoon! Lovely phal. Newberry Parfait 'picotee'.
