This is the only Ephphyllum I've seen that actually has leaves, although they are thick fleshy ones. Easy grower, and blooms late at night.
Very interesting! Does it reopen every night?
Nope. It's a one-night blossom.
Does anyone know where I can get a piece?
Beautiful bloom too bad it only last for one day!
I agree with Ray; 1 night only. As far as getting a piece... I have two that are not all that large yet, but I'll check down the road where a neighbor has a much larger one. Mine grew from a 7 in piece that had dropped on the sidewalk that I spotted while walking the pooch. I never gave it any special care, just an occasional watering when I watered the orchids mounted on the side of the tree. It rooted and grew.
Protect from slugs/snails - they are delicious to them.
Ray - If I can get a piece, I'll inspect/treat for bugs, fungus, disease, and pm you.

Thanks, Yug.
When I was in college, and first getting into plants in general, I picked one up at a yard sale - 12" pot, about 6 feet tall, and weird looking. The seller claimed it had just bloomed, so wouldn't bloom again for seven years. It bloomed later that summer.
I went back from Atlanta to DC for a few weeks before the fall term, and my roommates forgot to water it out on our porch in Decatur GA. It fried, so I took all of the pieces and threw them on the compost heap - which ended up giving me about 30 plants to share!
A follow-up to my request last fall...
Yug was kind enough to send me a leaf cutting, so I half-filled a 4" pot with potting soil and jammed it in. It started growing a single stalk about 6 weeks later, and then the old leaf started forming a bud. I had no idea a plant this small could bloom!
How nice. Congratulations!
The blooming is the reason for a party in the movie Crazy Rich Asians.
Those are cool flowers. Almost look like a water lily flower.
