Brassavola nodosa, of course. This is a seedling frøm you know who in Ecuador, flowering on just three matchstick sized bulbs, first flowering, two flowers. But what has surprised me is the size. 4 inches across. I have never seen nodosa flowers that big. Is this a random 4n I wonder ? Or B.nodosa magnificum ( never heard of that one either !). Usually flowers get bigger as well as more numerous as the plant matures. So what can I expect /hope for ?
A keeper certainly, and I shall watch what it does in the future too. But if you ever get to hear of B.nodosa FCC/RHS, you can say "I saw it , when it was just a baby".
Or am I away with the fairies here, over-optimistic as usual... ?

Nice!
I'm not trying to burst your bubble... Try google Brassavola nodosa 'Susan Fuchs' FCC/AOS (4N). Yours maybe exceptional but very most likely not a tetraploid.
That lip is really different looking Geoff. Very interesting.
A keeper for sure!
