Maybe the light was not too good for these....this year they are flowering well - rescued from pieces of firewood a few years ago destined to be used for cooking!

    What a lovely plant.
White flowers are so difficult to photograph. You need to underexpose to get detail in the whites, and never mind if the greens are a bit on the dark side.

Thank you Sheryl, in fact, they have been left on the branch they were growing on and I have merely wired it up to hang beneath a tree I have in the garden (an ornamental Brazilian/Madagascar Pepper Tree) where I have a number of other orchids...

Years agoI had C.arcuata ( i think that was the name), i had seen it in the wild in a game park somewhere near the border between South Africa and Mozambique , then saw it on offer at some show. Had it for years, growing with my Vandas, and then it flowered very well, I think it was 4 spikes, but much sorter than your spike. The curious thing was that when I posted it, someone in Australia posted the same species. I had never seen it before, and never seen it since. At the time I thought it very rema4kable that one and the same species should flower in the northern and sourhern hemispheres at the same time. Now I realise that it was just a coincidence - the vandaceous orchids arenot specially seasonal, they will flower at any time given the rightt triggers ( usually a temperature drop ) if they are big enough.
My plant got lost - but I would certainly buy again if I ever saw one available.

Is "My plant got lost" another way of saying it died?
