Another Prra. Bangkok Sunset hybrid is in spike.
V. vietnamica X Prra. Bangkok Sunset. Have been waiting for more than 3 years for this spike.
Very promising spike..your patience is paid off, looking forward once he open.
Healthy plant there, look forward to the blooms!
Thank you Jack & Zainal. Will update in 3 weeks time maybe.
Very nice looking plant there Azizan! Looking forward to seeing the Blooms!
For those who have been waiting for some pictures. It has similar fragrant to the Prra. Sunshine Padriew but relatively milder, not very tart either. The fragrance become intense in the afternoon, less intense in the morning and at night. When the fragrance is not very intense, it reminds me of some kind of hair product, hair gel or hair spray. I did not expect fragrance at first due to the non-fragrant parent V. vietnamica. The orange colour over the edge of petals/sepal and pinkish purple lip development may be affected by temperature as the weather here keep on fluctuating. Warmer weather - paler.
Mauve lip is very attractive!
It's very pretty. Happy there's a nice fragrance for you!
