Default No ID old huge Cattleya - pics

I have this huge (3 ft) across old Cattleya I picked up in a greenhouse clearance from an old nursery in Ga. no tag on the plant. It had one leaf per pseudobulb. I have provided pic in this post. If anyone can help with the name of this orchid I would appreciate it. If we can’t identify it then I will still love it for its beautiful 6 in flowers.

Thank you Sheryl and Chris. I can see the Laelia in this one for sure though I agree it is almost surely a hybrid. Take a look on line at an old cattleya hybrid called C. George Cutler and tell me if you think it might be the same. Thanks.

George Cutler has a much fuller flower whereas your flower resembles L anceps. Also, even though I can only guess, George Cutler has a bigger flower (around 5 - 6 inch at least).

Thank you Arne , Chris, and runningemu. I agree. Not the same as George Cutler. The mystery deepens. 🧐

Anceps and its kin have long flower stems, buti agree it looks like manyof the larger laelias - autumnalisfoe example, although then again, the bulbs are wrong for that.
