Just check again later and I suggest you talk to him over the phone. I bought Cattleya species from him before.

Can anyone tell me why a certain species only grower in CA (not sure I can call the name here)
does not sell any cattleyas? He's got a few Laelias.
There are species cattleyas aren't there?
And yes I did email them and ask this question with no response.

I'll be seeing them at Rutgers orchid show tomorrow, I placed a pre order for a few things.
That’s funny Mike I was thinking the same thing yesterday when I was looking around for Sophronitis and rupiculous Laelias.

I met and spoke with Andy at the Rutgers show today and he said they definitely have Cattleyas, just don't list on the website if they have less than 25 of a variety.
He suggested as you did that I call if looking for something specific.
I brought home a couple of Laelias and a Tolumumnia
Nice. I like that pink tolumnia he has listed. I’ll definitely call if I’m looking for something specific.

That's the one I bought, Tolumnia velutinum.
Are these things supposed to be called Oncidiums now?
Maybe so but I’m not sure.

If you ever get an opportunity to go visit that vendor, do it!
You have to call ahead and make an appointment but the principals will give you a guided tour and it is awesome!
It's in his backyard in a suburban neighborhood which he has basically just put shadecloth covering over his entire lot.
I was out there on business a few years ago and called ahead with an order and they made up some incredible mounts for me. It was a blast.
