Hi there,
I just got this one for Valentine's day, I own other houseplants but no orchids before.
It seems to have a dent? I don't think it had it before so now I'm wondering whether this is normal or if there's anything I can do to stop further deterioration of the flower?
It's near a North facing window and ive applied orchyd mist once on the roots.
Thanks for your help!

Welcome from Ontario, Canada! What Jack said.
Welcome from Malaysia.
You have a slipper orchid, right ? Probably a Paphiopedilum ( Tropical Asiatic, Lady's slipper orchid).
The dent is in the pouch, or slipper, correct ?
It happens if the cultivation is less than perfect, I am afraid. Grow it better and next year, no dent.
Don't worry about it. It happens to experts, too.
