Hello everyone,
lately I saw a giant hanging cattleya in a greenhouse from an orchid seller where I went to. I tried asking the staff that was working there, but sadly they couldn't tell me the exact species. Does anyone of you can help me with that?
Thank you all in advance

I would agree with Jason. If that is a Cattleya it is one I have never seen before, really hard to tell the name until you see blooms. Welcome to the forum Glen, you should introduce yourself in New Member forum and tell us all about your orchids and grow space.
Definitely not a cattleya. Certain
that it is a Dendrobium.
Kinda resembles an epidendrum.
Looks like Dendrobium from Indochina so close to Den Thysiflorum pretty nice huge clump.
I agree, Dendrobium definitely, probably Den. thyrisiflorum or something similar. Can't be more certain than that without flowers.
Thank you so much everyone for the replies and the help.
On the website from that greenhouse I was able to find a picture of said orchid with the label (roughly translated) 'Here in our "Cattleyahouse" is not only the perfect atmosphere for Cattleyas but also Laelias and Dendrobium have their own space'. So it really looks like that it could be a Dendrobium. But I guess to find out which species exactly I'd have to go there again
