Love the lip on this one, Roy. It is like it was dipped in color! So pretty.

Never flowered one of these before, still have to build up the plant also, not the best of growers.

I like these. I had one years ago. It bloomed regularly and normally for quite a few years, then suddenly started not wanting to grow as well and the blooms had color breaks like maybe virused. So no longer in my collection.

It is a real beauty Roy!
If what Roy wrote for his flower is correct, then his orchid is a cultivar called 'Coerulea'. Uncertain at the moment about whether his plant is a clone, or original, or otherwise. Would be nice if there are clones of it.
I notice online some people put up names like C. Mini Purple fma. coerulea, and also C. Mini Purple var. coerulea ..... which appear to be mistakes ----- as in appearing to be not following an established international orchid naming procedure.
From what I recall about mine, I believe it was the 'Coerulea' cultivar. I have also heard that mericlones can be virused from the start and not show symptoms for years. I am thinking that is what happened to mine. I have never had any other plants in my collection showing signs. However, some plants with virus never show signs also.

OL ------ that's nice news! If it is the same cultivar, and maybe still available out there, then at least it could possibly be acquired again. There are certainly various other goodies too out there from the Mini Purple contingent.
The 'similar threads' links below are showing C. Mini Purple 'OC'.
I'm currently growing three cultivars ----- namely 'Tracy', 'Tamami', and 'Orchid Centre'.
