Growing pains....

Well, so... Two days ago, I, well, I broke the forums! I updated some server software and, lo and behold, all of a sudden, nothing worked.

We freaked.

But after some relentless searching, tweaking, and experimenting, we're back online.

As it happens, the brand new server we were so proud of back in 2013 is nearing its end-of-life; software has become obsolete despite patching, and we are looking at completely upgrading hardware and software to give you guys the best possible experience here at OrchidTalk.

So... Please pardon our dust in the couple of months to come! We want to keep Orchidtalk easy to use, innovative, and as informational as possible--with the best possible experience to enable browsing and learning and contributing.

You can look forward to some great changes! (and, ahem... if something breaks in the meantime, it will definitely be my fault...) BD will do his darndest to keep all of you updated on developments as we move forward toward, hopefully, another 16 years online!

I'm so glad that all of you are here, and that you find OrchidTalk useful. Thank you for your patience with us while our keikis bear roots!

Keeping the server updated makes our community more secure, and the forum function better. It is amazing how quickly technology/coding changes. Thank you for your patience while we got it all worked out.
