One of my plants of this species. Three spikes this year - another plant seems to be several weeks later, with spikes only a couple of inches long.
These dendrobes with long hanging spikes with many flowers are all collected together in Section densiflorum - one of the 40 different Sections into which this genus is conveniently divided. I have several - not all of course! I wish- but that wish comes coupled with a wish for a one acre sized greenhouse and a staff to look after the plants -ha-ha....
There seem to be more flowers on each ring around the flower stem, than in others of the Section. The oldest flowers start to get a pinkish cast to the white, and the yellow parts also depends with age. Alas they don't last very long, but are so spectacular when they are out, that all is forgiven in that respect.
Love this one.
