I had a Phal produce an inflorescence that took 6 months to finally bloom so patience is in order with Orchids in my world.

Good Day, about 6 months ago I bought a Cattleya which was in the process of producing two new sheets. The sheets grows bigger but unfortunately until now it has not produced any flowers. Can any person please tell me whether these two sheets will still produce flowers after such a long time or should I cut / remove them?

Chances are that they will not produce a spike after 6 months, but I have had some that eventually a spike started so I would leave them on the pb, you never know. A photo might give us a better idea of yours!
Some Cattleya species have a rest period after the growths are mature before they flower. In some cases, this can be several months. This trait can be passed on to hybrids as well. Do not remove the sheaths, even if they turn brown and dry, as Cattleyas can even bloom from dry sheathes sometimes.
Thanks for the feedback. I am going to leave it on the plant and hope for the best.
