The part I'll disagree with is the "easy to grow plant". It may be easy to grow under your conditions, but it would suffer badly here in my extreme heat.

I suppose, it's in a cool bathroom window. But, you grow them outdoors don't you? The only orchid that grows outdoors here is cypripedium.

I am grateful for the cool bathroom, but actually had tomato seedlings freeze in that window last winter. Being this cold is a challenge as well

When I lived in PA and had a greenhouse, there were corners cool enough to grow Tiger Barb (there's no way to be certain, but your ID might be correct), but here in NC, they'd have to be in air conditioned space.

If you can give aa plant what it likes, and it flourishes, its an easy orchid. And vice versa.
What we always should add is "in my conditions"

But then there are some noriously difficult orchids no-one can please ! What can we say about them !
    Perhaps - "if only".....

And we, at least I, still keep trying the difficult ones. Why is that?
