    Smile anyone familiar with trichopilias???

Please help. I have trichopilia suavis. It's a low light, cool growing, water loving creature. Being that I like the genus I was debating growing another. Was thinking trichopilia ramonensis because it is a hybrid and one parent is suavis. If I am honest with myself it is really trichopilia tortilis that I want, but sources vary on cultural requirements. Anyone familiar with this plant and want to let me know if the culture is all that different??? Thanks for any help

According to the Baker's culture sheet, the two ought to be fine, side-by-side. Plus, if you consider that Trpl. x ramonensis is a natural hybrid, the two must have overlapping populations in the wild.

well, it's a hybrid of marginata and suavis, and I have considered growing marginata. Tortilis seems to like the lower elevations. But some sources do say that tortilis requires similar culture. might try it.

Lol! Yes, orchid genetics are not for the semi-awake. not 100% sure on this one myself and info on trichopilias is VERY limited!
