This is a great hybrid, lots of named varieties - all as far as I know with these very shiny flowers. Can produce a big head of flowers - I have had 9 or 10 in the past. But some of my cats suffered a bit in our bright summer, when green house temperatures got too hot ( 40). I installed a portable air-con unit in late July, which kept it down to 35 ( the running costs of those things, on all day, are surprisingly high ! ) but I guess the damage was done by then and I have found several plants with shrivelled new growths, or spikes where some of the buds blasted, as was the case here.
Catts seem to me to be wonderful flowers, but the genus is certainly not the easiest to grow.
