Bratonia = Brassia x Miltonia. Annoyingly I can't get a good pic of a single flower. because of the other flowers and buds which get in the way. A Miltassia type of thing, massive flowers 4 inch wide and 6 inches high, probably 5 flowers on the complete spike - quite good for this sort of thing - the Brassia has a much better flower count, but the Miltonia parent often has only two or three.
My first flowering on any of my bits of this plant for very many years - I acquired it 20 years ago, and once had five or more spikes on a big plant - I used it as the front page of my personal web-site which I had from about 1998 until it became too expensive for the domain ( too many pages) some years later. So very welcome. Better light over that bench explains why it has come back to flowering, I'm sure.
Thats so pretty Geoff and I'm sure a welcome sight after many years. Yes the multiple flowers and buds can get in the way of a single flower shot for sure. Enjoy!
