Wow! I like it, Bruce!
The camera angle, the coloring, the shades...awesome!
If you were to give it a title, what would you call it?

This is an image I entered into a photoshop challenge. The original image was daylight and dull. I was feeling a bit dark and moody, so here is what showed up on my screen.
Cheers!

How about "11 O'clock in the Garden of Good and Evil". Great picture Bruce. I love those dark and moody pics.Originally Posted by Piper

Thanks! I did not take the original image. The contest is to take the given photo and alter it to make it interesting. Below is the original image that I changed to make my image. I suppose I would call it 'Peace' since it looks as if the angel is watching over someone's grave. I tried to reinforce the idea that she was watching over the grave by adding the light from the top and blurring out other parts of the image. Thanks for the response!
Cheers!

I like your picture a lot better , It has feeling . Gin
Interesting setup.
From your retouched photo, she was almost leaning her head on the cross in grief. Her wing edges were slightly browned, suggesting the passing of a flower. I thought she was weeping for a soul and that somehow, its passing was killing her.
But isn't that what art is - asking a question for the observer to answer for him or herself?
Nice thread, BD - thanks!
Julie
I like the retouched picture better as well. Dark, moody, and unsettling ...
So no way for "Peace" as title, but "11 'clock (or Midnight) in the Garden of Good and Evil" sounds like a good start, my 2 cents!
Cheers. Hoa.
very striking and dark...
Thanks everyone! I am glad you all liked it. I wasn't really sure if I wanted to post it, but now I am glad I did.
Julie, your words are so expressive and so full of imagery. I had to go back and look at my photo to experience it through your eyes. Way cool.
Cheers!

Bruce - are you on drew curtis' site, by any chance?
