Default Question - phal stem branching

Can anyone tell me why my phalenopsis is branching like crazy?? I've never seen it do this

Background : blooms diligently twice a year and the last few years ive been getting two stems each bloom. This year the first strm got snapped off and i left it long to see maybe if i could grow a keiki. Now the second stem is growing but it started branching out like crazy, normally I get one or two but i think there's 7?? And there's branches on the broken stem as well.

What's going on? Is it a surplus of stored energy since the first stem was broken? Should I cut the stems?
it looks coo coo bananas 😜

It’s not the plant which is branching, just the flower spike. It is natural, and good...
most phallies in cultivation are hybrids bred from several different species. Most of the large flowered species will produce branches if grown very well, but the hybrids generally need to be grown very, very well to do this.

I envy you and the blooms you will have. I am still in the beginner stage and am patient with my plant growth.

It is branching because of your great culture! Bravo!
