I don't grow parishii, but from what I have read, it flowers spring thru summer, peaking around May. I would start watering as new growth occurs. Good luck!

I stopped water and fert in November and have kept Parishii in a south window with a 10°F temp drop at night. There's no sign of any growth. I did give it water a week ago getting nervous I'd kill it since it hadn't had a drop in 4 months. Why isn't it getting any buds? Did I so something wrong? and if it's not going to bloom when should I resume watering? My Den. Ise Pearl has already bloomed with the same treatment.
Thanks for any advice or comments. Clara

It should bloom if it really is mature enough.
Every year I think that my Dendrobium jenkensii should produce buds in March after the long dry and relatively cold rest. It does eventually produce a lot of buds but much later than expected. I always give it some, but not much, water from the beginning of March. Most of the time it is in full bloom at the beginning of May. Why it waits like this I don't know.
Thanks Arne, that's very reassuring!
